28 Students Participated in the 4th İLAD Student Evaluator Training Workshop
Participants of the Student Evaluator Training Workshop Received Their Certificates
The 4th İLAD Student Evaluator Training Workshop, organized to educate students who will serve as student evaluators in İLAD’s accreditation processes in the field of communication, was held online on October 22, 2024. The workshop was attended by 28 students.
Focusing on quality and accreditation efforts in communication education, the workshop featured İLAD President Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz, who provided participants with insights into the accreditation processes conducted by İLAD and the stages involved.
Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, President of İLEDAK, explained the benefits of accreditation processes for students and informed participants about İLAD’s Student Representative Directive. Prof. Dr. Jale Sarmaşık, Vice President of İLAD, presented information on İLAD's Evaluation Criteria and guided student evaluators on how to conduct their assessments. She also emphasized the importance of adhering to ethical principles in accreditation processes. Füsun Özbilgen, Secretary General of İLAD, provided students with an overview of the procedures applied in accreditation evaluations.
Additionally, Student Evaluator Sercan Gündoğar shared his experiences regarding the preparation of student evaluator reports and key points to consider during evaluation visits. The 4th İLAD Student Evaluator Training Workshop concluded with a Q&A session, where participants’ questions were addressed. Students also signed İLAD’s declaration on ethical guidelines and were awarded their certificates.
Higher Education Quality Council Turkey (YÖKAK) authorized ILAD Communication Research Association to accredit higher education programs in the field of communication.
