Our Mission and Quality Management

The aim of ILEDAK is to contribute to the enhancement of the quality of communication education in Turkey by engaging in accreditation, evaluation, and informative endeavors concerning "communication education programs" intersecting with the discipline of communication and related fields. Our mission is directed towards fostering the development of a more knowledgeable and proficient cadre of communicators capable of comprehending contemporary and evolving communication technologies, thereby facilitating societal enlightenment and advancement.

The Communication Research Association (İLAD) and the Communication Education Evaluation Accreditation Board (ILEDAK), dedicated to the elevation of communication education quality in Turkey, have embraced the principles of continual improvement and the philosophy of total quality management to guide their activities and ensure the consistent fulfillment of the expectations of higher education institutions offering communication education.

To this end, ILEDAK adheres to the following values to uphold the quality of its endeavors:

Principle of Service Orientation: ILEDAK personnel and volunteers establish and sustain respectful and compassionate relationships with all serviced institutions. They remain attuned to their current needs and expectations, recognizing that the quality of services is ultimately judged by the recipient institutions.

Principle of Continuous Learning: Continuous learning constitutes a prerequisite for improvement and development. Consequently, ILEDAK perpetually learns from its own activities and performance, as well as from the experiences of analogous organizations. The development of personnel and volunteers is encouraged and supported to foster an environment conducive to the realization and utilization of their full potential.

Principle of Value Creation: ILEDAK is committed to providing services that generate value for its stakeholders, primarily the institutions it serves. The value added by services is monitored directly through feedback. In this context, ILEDAK evaluation teams endeavor to furnish beneficial feedback for the continual enhancement of communication education and the evaluation process.

Principle of Enhancing Collaboration: Maximizing value delivery and augmenting success hinge upon fostering collaborations. Accordingly, ILEDAK seeks out and cultivates collaboration opportunities with both national and international organizations. Sustainable collaboration necessitates shared goals among collaboration partners, the mutual sharing of expertise, resources, and information, and the establishment of relationships founded on mutual trust, respect, and transparency.

Principle of Ethical Conduct: ILEDAK personnel and volunteers embrace a high level of ethical conduct as accountable individuals towards stakeholders, manifesting transparency and accountability. Consequently, ILEDAK conducts itself professionally within the framework of its Ethical Rules and assumes the responsibility of informing stakeholders and the public about all its activities, particularly ILEDAK program evaluation and accreditation activities, while being accountable.

Higher Education Quality Council Turkey (YÖKAK) authorized ILAD Communication Research Association to accredit higher education programs in the field of communication.
