Our Mission and Quality Management
The aim of İLEDAK is to contribute to enhancing the quality of communication education in Turkey by conducting accreditation, evaluation, and informational activities for “communication education programs” within the field of communication and its intersecting disciplines. Our mission in pursuit of this goal is to foster a well-educated and highly qualified generation of communication professionals who can grasp current and emerging communication technologies, raise public awareness, and drive societal progress.
Committed to improving the quality of communication education in Turkey, the Communication Research Association (İLAD) and the Communication Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board (İLEDAK) conduct their activities in alignment with the philosophy of continuous improvement and total quality management. Meeting the expectations of higher education institutions that offer communication education is a fundamental principle of our work.
To ensure the highest level of quality in its activities, İLEDAK adheres to the following core values:
İLEDAK staff and volunteers establish and maintain a respectful and compassionate relationship with all institutions they serve. They remain sensitive to the institutions’ current needs and expectations, recognizing that the ultimate evaluator of service quality is the receiving institution.
Continuous learning is a prerequisite for improvement and development. Therefore, İLEDAK actively learns from its own activities and performance, as well as from the experiences of similar institutions. The development of staff and volunteers is encouraged and supported to help them realize and utilize their full potential.
İLEDAK is committed to providing services that create added value for its stakeholders, particularly the institutions it serves. The value of these services is monitored through direct feedback. In this context, İLEDAK evaluation teams strive to provide constructive feedback to enhance communication education and the assessment process.
Maximizing the value delivered and increasing success depends on fostering collaborations. Therefore, İLEDAK seeks and develops opportunities for cooperation with national and international organizations. Sustainable collaboration requires shared goals among partners, mutual exchange of expertise, resources, and information, and a relationship based on trust, respect, and transparency.
İLEDAK staff and volunteers uphold a high level of ethical responsibility towards stakeholders, embracing transparency and accountability. Accordingly, they act professionally within the framework of İLEDAK’s Ethical Guidelines and assume responsibility for informing stakeholders and the public about all İLEDAK activities, particularly program evaluation and accreditation processes.
