During the workshop, ILAD President Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz, ILAD Vice President Prof. Dr. Jale Sarmaşık, ILEDAK President Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, Chair of the ILEDAK Criteria Commission Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Timisi Nalçaoğlu, and ILAD Education Commission Member Prof. Dr. Nalan Büker provided training on the implementation of accreditation processes.
Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz, President of ILAD, informed the participants about the six-year accreditation efforts of ILAD and ILEDAK. In her opening speech, she shared the foundation purpose and history of ILAD, along with its core principles in the accreditation process. She emphasized the importance of the process by discussing the operation of ILEDAK, the role of evaluator teams, and quality assurance.
Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, President of ILEDAK, provided information on the general structure and purpose of ILEDAK, its development since its establishment, and explained the steps and phases of the accreditation process.
Prof. Dr. Jale Sarmaşık, Vice President of ILAD, informed the participants about the activities involved in the evaluation process, behavioral dimensions, ethical principles, and consistency guidelines.
Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Timisi Nalçaoğlu, Chair of the ILEDAK Criteria Commission, presented the ILAD Evaluation Criteria and Program Learning Outcomes, which were developed together with stakeholders to define and assess standards in communication education.
Prof. Dr. Nalan Büker, Member of the ILAD Education Commission, provided information on the evaluation process, the preparation of Program Evaluator Reports (PERs), and accreditation decisions.
Following the presentations, the workshop continued with a Q&A session. Knowledge and ideas were shared regarding accreditation and quality standards in higher education.
At the end of the full-day workshop, which consisted of two sessions, ILAD Evaluator Certificates were sent to all participants who signed the ILAD Confidentiality and Ethics Declarations.
