The 19th İLAD Evaluator Training Was Held with the Participation of 86 Team Members
İLEDAK Team Members Preparing for Institutional Visits Attended the 19th Evaluator Training Workshop
The 19th İLAD/İLEDAK Evaluator Training Workshop was held online on Saturday, November 2, 2024. A total of 86 evaluators participated in the workshop, which was organized for İLEDAK team members assigned as evaluators in the accreditation processes of communication programs. The workshop included presentations on evaluation and accreditation training to guide team members who will be involved in general evaluation, interim evaluation, and vocational school program assessment for the 2024 term. Information was provided on key considerations during institutional visits and the methodologies to be employed. Presentations were delivered on the **criteria for institutional assessments**, how to conduct pre-visit team preparations, and the rules governing evaluation visits. Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz, President of İLAD, Prof. Dr. Jale Sarmaşık, Vice President of İLAD, Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, President of İLEDAK, and Prof. Dr. Deniz Yenğin, Member of İLEDAK, provided participants with information on the preparation of Program Evaluator Reports (PDRs), exit statements, chairperson reports, İLEDAK's consistency reviews, and the behavioral aspects of site visits.
Following the presentations, the workshop continued with a Q&A session, where participants engaged in discussions on accreditation and quality standards in higher education. Additionally, sample visit programs and examples of questions that evaluators may ask institutional administrators, faculty members, students, alumni, and stakeholders were shared with the participants.
Higher Education Quality Council Turkey (YÖKAK) authorized ILAD Communication Research Association to accredit higher education programs in the field of communication.
