Forty faculty members from the Communication Faculties of Selçuk University and Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University participated in the 21st ILAD Institutional Information Workshop.

During the workshop held on Friday, November 8, 2024, ILAD’s Accreditation Board (ILEDAK) outlined the accreditation practices and evaluation processes. ILAD Chair Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz, ILEDAK Chair Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, and ILEDAK member Prof. Dr. Deniz Yengin explained the stages of the evaluation process, provided presentations on ILAD criteria, and emphasized the importance of substantiating the applied standards through documented evidence.

Upon the request of Selçuk University’s Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Vedat Çakır, and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Prof. Dr. Hatice Aydın, a briefing was provided on the evaluation and accreditation processes for the programs of faculties preparing for ILAD accreditation.

The workshop covered ILAD’s fundamental standards, criteria specific to the communication field and programs, and related practices, while also addressing faculty members’ questions regarding the accreditation process.
